To
effectively coordinate the development and implementation of the PIDS' research program, the
Institute has developed standards, operating guidelines, and procedures. These research
systems cover the development of the PIDS' research program and research projects, research
contract administration, and project monitoring and evaluation. In addition, systems and
guidelines have been developed to assist specially-created project offices in managing their
respective projects.
